Buddha Bar Prague Review – Where To Stay in Prague

Steps away from Prague’s famous Old Town Square is the Buddha Bar Hotel, a Far Eastern styled hotel that spares no expense when it comes to luxury.

Arrival:

The doorman greats you as you pass through the double doors to the lobby, the bellhop was quick to grab our bags and help us to the front desk. Lobby is kinda U-shaped with an entry way, then opening to a front desk, a small biz center and then to the glass elevator. The lobby isn’t huge, but it feels welcoming.

The Staff/Service:

The Buddha Bar’s staff was very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Our bellhop was very informative about the hotel and gladly showed us all the nice features in our suite. Front desk staff was also very nice and we found that they spoke English quite well, they even helped book a cab and negotiated a better rate for us to the airport.

The Room:

As we opened the door and saw the decor in the room we were immediately blown away by the size and style of the room. Everything from the embroidered towels in the bathroom to the ceramic tile and hardwood floors, the Buddha Bar is a true luxury hotel. Our suite featured a pullout subzero fridge,  closet with a safe and a zen garden. The room felt very spacious and we even had enough room to layout both our suitcases and still walk around the room. The tv featured a bose surround sound which was nice. Only negatives we found we’re the amount of switches to control the lights, lack of electrical outlets near the bed and minimal natural light from the 2 small windows.

The Bed:

The bed was semi-firm but comfortable. They also offer a pillow menu which allows you to pick and choose all sorts of comfy pillows to make your slumber extra special.

The Bathrooms:

Our suite featured a toilet and sink in one small room and a walk-in shower, tub and double sinks in another. The rooms all had radiant heated floors which was nice when walking to the bathroom late at night and they helped keep the rooms warm, even the toilet seat wasn’t cold. All the counter tops where granite with a beautiful tiled tub and shower.

Room Service:

When we arrived at the hotel it was late in the evening and we were both tired from traveling all day, so we decided to order room service the first night. The food came up quickly and was tasty, although since it was late there was a limited menu. The mini bar in the room is fully stocked and the prices were very reasonable for hotel rates.

WiFi:

The WiFi was included in the room rate. For the most part it was fast and reliable, we did have a few problems with connection and staying connected but nothing too major.

Bottom Line:

Would we go back?
Ben: Yes, the staff was great and the hotel was in a good location and I feel it’s a good deal for what you get.

Sadey: Yes. Absolutely blown away with the quality of the entire hotel. I would really like to check out  other Buddha Bar hotels.

::TIPS::

You need to exchange money prior to arrival as they do not do it at the hotel. But there are several exchanges in old town square. (prices negotiable)
Hotel is about 25 min cab ride from airport, about $30usd.
Check: In 3pm
Check Out: 12pm
