Right before we we’re leaving for Isla Mujeres at the beginning of the month I received a Grab & Glow Kit from Air Repair Skincare. It was perfect timing, I could just toss this in my carry on and I wouldn’t have to worry about filling up travel sized containers of products I had around the house.
We had an 7am flight to Mexico which means in my normal fashion I was up 3 hours before to do my morning routine and attempting to de-zombiefy my tired face.
I started with the Cleansing Milk, which helped remove any remnants of yesterdays makeup that I didn’t fully get off the night before. I then went in with the Rescue Lip Balm… my lips are always terribly chapped if I forget to put on a balm the night before…which I had forgot to do. I sprayed my face with the Facial Spray which kind of gave me a little pep! Next came the Eye Cream, I prefer to put any eye creams on before moisturizers… I feel that it soaks into the skin better whereas if you put on a moisturizer first the two products are battling to get into the skin. After I gave the Eye cream about a minute to soak in I followed it with the Moisturizer. After all this I finally applied my normal foundation, shaped my brows a bit and added a little mascara to my lashes, I was ready to go!
Here’s a breakdown of my thoughts on each product after using them before, during and after our flight as well as using them while we we’re in Mexico.
Air Repair Grab & Glow Kit $42
5 total products that help moisturize and treat skin while for the traveler on the go. All of the products came in a convenient carry on sized clear zipper pouch that had a clip attached to it.
Air Repair Rescue Balm (All Purpose Skin Salve & Lip Balm)
Upon opening the tube, the product had separated into a oily substance and after squeezing more out of the tube I got to the balm. This balm works perfectly for dry patches of skin such as elbows and the heels of your feet but using it as a Lip Balm.. I did NOT like it. The scent wasn’t pleasant and I didn’t like the feel of the product on my lips. (if purchased alone $12)
Air Repair Soothing Facial Cleansing Milk
I used this in the mornings and in the evenings. I felt it worked the best after I had used a face cleansing wipe to remove the majority of my makeup. I struggled to get this product to remove things such as eyeliner and mascara but it worked well removing my foundation and my face felt cleansed and soothed after using it. (if purchased alone $10)
Air Repair Super-Hydrating Eye Cream
This stuff worked like champ. It does exactly what the label said… hydrates. I found that it also brightened my under eye area after using it and helped my concealer lay beautifully. (if purchased alone $19)
Air Repair Complexion Boosting Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid
I have mixed feelings about this product. I didn’t like it as a moisturizer.. i felt like it just sat on top of my skin making it nearly impossible to follow with foundation… my foundation would just slide right off my face. I did however like using it as a mask before I went to bed. I would put it on after I washed my face, i would leave it on while i brushed my teeth and got ready for bed and right before bed I would wash it off. My face felt smooth and refreshed. (if purchased alone $20)
Air Repair Complexion Quenching Facial Mist
Wow. I used this mid flight to give me a little pep and help hydrate my face in the dry plane air. It worked great. I carried this in my purse the entire trip. It was so humid in Isla Mujeres that it was nearly impossible not to sweat, so when I saw my makeup starting to separate I would spray a little of this mist and dab the problem spots with a makeup sponge and it would almost instantly fix the problem. (if purchased alone $10)
I enjoyed using the products, they we’re of good quality not junky products. Being a graphic designer, I would love to see them rebrand the actual bottles, the packaging just doesn’t represent the quality of the products.
