Looking to get away from the craziness of the Las Vegas Strip? I got 3 great Las Vegas dives you gotta check out. Ditch the glamour, head for these dim lit watering holes and see what makes LV the great drinking city it is.

1) The Office Bar

A bar that doubles as a liquor store what could be better? I discovered this great dive by asking a cabbie to take me somewhere to by booze. Long and behold he pulled up to this industrial area and says that bar over there sells booze. The office bar isn’t much to look at inside…but you can buy a bottle of whiskey, have a shot and then take your bottle with you. To this day, we still come here form time to time when in Las Vegas.

2) Frankies Tiki Room

The era of 1950’s Hawaii lives strong in the tropical dive off the strip. A few friends of mine took me here when we were painting the town red – my last memories of that night are of Frankie’s crazy strong tiki drinks and old school porn playing on the screens over-head. Yes, they play 60’s/70’s porn at¬†Frankie’s…which is not for the squeamish, but if you have the guts – then set sail for Frankies… you’ll be sure have a good time.

1712 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102

3) Don’t Tell Mama

Amongst the crowds of Fremont Street is a little hole in the wall piano bar known as Don’t Tell Mama. Cheap drink specials, large outdoor patio and great party atmosphere make DTM a fun place to toss back a few and sing some songs with your boys.

517 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101
